She used a Time-Turner (a small silver hourglass worn on a chain around her neck. It's a very powerful and dangerous magical item which literally turns back time for the user, one hour per inversion of the glass. Time-Turners are carefully controlled by the Ministry of Magic) during her third school year to take extra classes. Career: She has been non-committal to Harry with her plans about her future. Skills: Logic, Arithmancy; portable waterproof fires, Apparition. She has actually read Hogwarts: A History. Can produce a full Patronus and mastered the Protean Charm to create the enchanted coins used by Dumbledore's Army. Patronus: Otter Boggart: McGonagall telling her she failed everything Amortentia (love potion) smells: freshly mown grass and new parchment and ... (She doesn’t finish her sentence here) Hermione reads avidly and tends to believe that anything worth knowing about can be learned about in books. In her first year at Hogwarts, Hermione found herself disliked by most of the other kids, even Ronald made nasty comments about her. She was a bossy know-it-all who told everyone else off for not doing everything according to the rules. She did mellow a bit over her first year and even more in the years that followed, but she has not lost her disapproval of rule-breaking. She excels at most subjects and often helps Neville Longbottom through difficult Potions classes. Most teachers consider her a star pupil, although Snape calls her a show-off. In her fourth year at Hogwarts, she found herself the object of the affection of Viktor Krum, a famous Quidditch player from Bulgaria, who was a visiting student at Hogwarts from Durmstrang Institute and participated in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. She returned his affection to some extent, although she seems to be developing an interesting relationship with Ron which might grow into something more. Years in Hogwarts First Year. Hermione had a difficult time fitting in and her encounter with the troll was what brought her, Harry and Ron together. She aided Ron and Harry getting to the Philosopher's Stone. In fact she was souly responsible for getting them through the majority of the clues, with the exception of the giant chess set, in which Ron was the master. She also had her first run in with Draco in her first year and since then he has tormented her. Second Year. Hermione helped Harry and Ron with the clues they needed to find the Chamber of Secrets. As a general duty, Hermione helped Harry and Ron out of many sticky situations, and even though she protested against some of their ventures, she watched out for them. Hermione also mastered the art of making one of “the most complicated potion’s” she’d ever heard of, The Polyjuice Potion. Consequently, Ron and Harry turned into Crabbe and Goyle but Hermione, herself, grew a thick coat of black cat hair with matching ears and a tail. Third Year.
Hermione used her time-turner not only to add hours in the day so she could take on extra classes, but also to help Harry free Buckbeak, a wrongly accused hippogriff, and Sirius Black, a man wrongly accused of murdering several people including Harry’s parents. Other achievements include her punching Draco Malfoy right in the face for attempting to watch the execution of Buckbeak. Fourth Year. Hermione found herself attending the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum, the famous Bulgarian Quidditch player from Durmstrang Institute. Other than helping cheer Harry on as he competed in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, she helped him study and practice spells and charms; as well she helped him decipher clues for his next task. As a sneaky little trick, Hermione captured Rita Skeeter in her animagus form (which is a beetle) and kept her in a small jar. Fifth Year. In her fifth year Hermione was made prefect and helped put together Dumbledore’s Army. She mastered the Protean Charm to create the enchanted coins used by Dumbledore's Army, and put a hex on the sign-up sheet that resulted in writing the word ‘sneak’ on the face of anyone who told another person about the DA meetings. She excelled in Dumbledore’s Army, this was reflected in her earning an ‘Exceeds Expectations’ on her Defense Against The Dark Arts OWL. She, along with other members of the DA, broke into the Ministry of Magic, looking for the Department of Mysteries, and fought against the Death Eaters to protect Harry’s prophecy. As a bonus this year, she tricked Professor Umbridge into venturing into the Dark Forrest and consequently left the woman there, ridding the school of her permanently Sixth Year. In her sixth year Hermione, along with some of the other members of Dumbledore’s Army, helped defend the castle against the Death Eaters. She did try to convince Harry not to trust his ‘beloved’ Half Blood Prince, throughout the year but to no avail. Still in this year, she was prefect but did her fair share of rule breaking as well. Fanon. As with everything Hermione oriented, there are ships that are more popular than others and some that not everyone agrees with.(If you do not speak fan-ish, ship is short for relationship.) Hermione/Draco Malfoy (often referred to as Dramione, DM/HG, or DHr) this is one of the most popular ships, perhaps because Hermione has a thing for bad boys who just happen to belong to Slytherin. Hermione/Lucius Malfoy (HG/LM) though this one is not seen as much, there are several of these stories circulating. Hermione/Severus Snape (HG/SS) the bookworm may often badmouth this greasy Potions Master but somewhere deep down she may have a soft spot for him. Hermione/Harry Potter (HHr or HG/HP) this ship does seem to be a bit more popular than the next, and does appear to pop up very often. Hermione/Ron Weasley (RHr or HG/RW) though we’ve been led to believe this ship is how the stories are going to play out, there are many authors out there who have decided not to play this particular plot out. Though not all possible ships are listed here, these are a few of the most popular ones. Just because your favorite ship has not been listed, does not mean the staff here at Granger Enchanted does not approve of them. Feel free to contact us if you want to see your favourite ship listed. Quotes “I hope you’re pleased with yourselves. We could have been all killed -- or worse, expelled.” “You're saying it wrong,” Harry heard Hermione snap. “It’s Wing-gar-dium Levi-o-sa, and make the ‘gar’ nice and long.” “Books! And cleverness! There are more important things -- friendship and bravery.” “I went looking for the troll because I—I thought I could deal with it on my own—you know, because I’ve read all about them.” “At least no one on the Gryffindor team had to buy their way in. They got in on pure talent.” “Not spew,” said Hermione impatiently, “It’s S-P-E-W. Stands for the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare.” “Twitchy little ferret, aren’t you Malfoy?” “Just because you’ve got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn’t mean we all have,” said Hermione nastily, picking up her quill again. "Malfoy's got detention! I could sing." Do you have a quote you want to see here? Let us know and you will get credit for it! Contact Us . |
