Theo shrugged and walked over to one of the many bookcases lining the walls.

“What would you like to read today?” He called over his shoulder.

Hermione propped her chin on her hand as she gazed across the room. Her glowing amber eyes locked on twin pools of azure. Her smile, when it came, was full of amusement, mischief and above all else, love.

“Something with a ‘happily-ever-after’, please.”

Summary:

Harry's the one to defeat Voldemort. He's just not going to do it alone. Necessity has charged Hermione and her Affinity with the duty to ensure his victory.

The Affinity? Hermione is Muggleborn; a child of muggle parents who is also a witch. For that very reason, those with roles most important to her life are paired accordingly: Muggle and Magical, opposite but equal to her and themselves in every way.

Necessity has personally chosen Hermione, and those of her Affinity. As she and her Affinity live and learn and win and lose, not everything that is necessary is always pleasant. In the struggle to defeat Voldemort, a person's personality - wizard and witch alike - has as much a part to play as the magic they possess.

Daughter of Necessity is a re-tweaking of the HP story, with disregard for select subplots in books 6 & 7
